- Picture: minor cosmetic: a small visual quirk that doesn't affect play or readability (e.g. a semitransparent cursor, a one-pixel seam, a slightly wrong shade in one UI element) (the mouse cursor draws semitransparent (the player's form note, 'very minor'); re-filed from colours 2026-10-30; X cursors are not in the xwd captures, so the shots can't show it), -5 PS3/Walnut only

Installation
In Walnut Games, the desktop app: Install, then Add game files... and pick your copy of Diablo: the disc in the drive, an ISO, BIN/CUE or MDF image, an installer or a folder. The game data is not part of the package, and Walnut does not offer it.
What works: DIABDAT.MPQ from your own Diablo (the CD, or GOG's installer or installed copy); Hellfire's hf*.mpq files for the expansion. The free shareware version's spawn.mpq also works if you put it in the game folder by hand.
Optional, from a copy that has them: the expansion: Also add in the app.
More ways (a terminal, game-data-packager on any Debian system, copying the files by hand): Guides.
Or from a terminal, from Walnut's apt repository:
sudo apt install devilutionx
Known issues
- The mouse cursor draws semitransparent instead of solid.
- One pause of about 2 s in a 20-minute session, and a few short sound dropouts.
