Installation

In Walnut Games, the desktop app: Install, then Add game files... and pick your copy of Loom: the disc in the drive, an ISO, BIN/CUE or MDF image, an installer or a folder. The game data is not part of the package, and Walnut does not offer it.

What works: The EGA floppy release's installed files, 00.LFL to 99.LFL (English, German, French or Spanish), copied to a folder.

More ways (a terminal, game-data-packager on any Debian system, copying the files by hand): Guides.

Or from a terminal, from Walnut's apt repository:

sudo apt install scummvm

Known issues

  • The VGA talkie (CD, Steam, GOG) can't be imported yet because its music is a CD audio track; only the EGA floppy releases work.
  • Nobody has played a session of it on Walnut yet, only smoke-tested. The Spanish EGA release reached the difficulty choice.
